This Little Light of Mine

This Little Light of Mine

Hello ladies and gents! Today we would like to talk about a phrase that we hear a lot as Christians, “be a light.” Matthew 5:16 states “Be a light for all to see.” Sure, we know that we are supposed to radiative positivity as Christians for others to see, but what does that actually mean?

Well we know that we obviously know that we cannot physically be a shining light, so the lord must be using a metaphor. To me, and you may not agree this is just my opinion, is that God places a burning passion inside of us when we become Christians. God lights this fire within our souls as a light for others to see, for we are serving as examples of Christ. Letting your light become dim or nearly extinguished can be easy to do in today’s world. Becoming discouraged can be so easy, so can forgetting God’s promises during hard times. The dark times, however, are when we need God’s light to shine through the most. We need to show others that though there are trials in life, we will not become discouraged but will instead lean on Christ and let him stoke our fires for a brighter light. We should all have such bright lights that others can see Christ’s love radiating from miles away!

What does being a light mean to you? Be sure to comment and let us know your thoughts. We are so excited to grow with you! Thanks for the read! Until next time.
